ATC Guide of the Month - June

We're so excited to kick off our Guide of the Month appreciation series! At ATC we have a great community of local experience guides that show our guests how to fully experience Austin.

This month's experience guide is an ATC OG - Mario Robles. Mario has been with ATC for almost two years. He's worked a range of dynamic experiences and events with us including Dripping Springs brewery tours, Bat Cruises on Lady Bird Lake, SXSW, X Games, Sound on Sound Fest, Austin Monthly cover collaboration events, private corporate events and bi-lingual city tours. Mario is a dynamic employee who is able to lead any event with the most fun, professional attitude.

Mario's favorite ATC experience is the Libations Trail Ride. The Libations Trail Ride leaves from Downtown Austin every Saturday and takes guests down the winding Fitzhugh Road in Dripping Springs, TX. Guests spend the day sipping on craft cocktails and spirits while Mario gives them all the insider need-to-know information. "I enjoy that it is one of our longer tours and I get more time to interact with our guests throughout the various stops," Mario said.

By week day, Mario works as a Credits and Incentives Tax Consultant at Ryan, LLC. In his free time, Mario enjoys sipping on Austin Amber by Independence Brewery by the pool, or catching some sun at one of Austin's many outdoor hotspots. Like a true Austinite, he has some great insider information on where to get the best taco in town. "My favorite Austin taco is the 'The Real Deal Holyfield' breakfast taco by Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ - it will change your life." Mario also runs trip for us out to the Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery on Sunday's. He recommends trying out his personal favorite - Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka on your next visit.

Mario likes to push himself mentally, physically and spiritually. If you ask him, he'll tell you that he enjoys reading and writing about Mind, Body and Spirit - and sharing his passion of these topics with others. "I believe that having a good understanding about ones self and how to increase your awareness on these three topics will help you live a happy and fulfilling life." These qualities shine in him as an ATC guide and his positive energy on-site can be infectious.

Mario loves working as an ATC guide because he gets to meet new people and show guests the many great places Austin has to offer. "I also enjoy working for ATC because I get the 'you have a sweet gig' at least once on every experience from one of our guests - as I take a sip of my drink."

We wouldn't be able to execute such great experiences around Austin without the help of dedicated guides like Mario. Thanks for all you do and cheers to many more experiences together in the future!
